fRIDAY, mARCH 15th @ 12PM - 10PM
sATURDAY, mARCH 16TH @ 12PM - 10PM

After months, or rather YEARS, of planning, crunching numbers, hard work, crunching more numbers, endless construction, countless inspections, and, finally, brewing beer, Riverlands Brewing Company is thrilled to announce our grand opening weekend. Join us on Friday and Saturday, March 15 & 16, as we open the doors and taps at our brewery in St. Charles, Illinois. Below are a few details to keep in mind during the weekend-long celebration.

PARKING

Parking may be limited directly in front of the brewery, but our commercial complex has communal parking throughout.

While we share parking with the other businesses in our complex, we ask that you be respectful and look for any no parking signs. Please do NOT park on any grass areas, along any roads or driveways, or blocking any loading ramps or alleyways.

DOGS & KIDS

We love our furry friends but due to health regulations, only service animals are allowed in the taproom.

Tiny humans are welcome, but we recommend getting in early since we expect a busy weekend. Please keep in mind that children need to be attended by an adult at all times, seated or in a stroller, and no rowdy behavior or horseplay will be permitted. In order to help you entertain the kiddos, we will have board games and activity books available.

FOOD

We’ve lined up two of our favorite food vendors to help us all set a base and satisfy our hunger. During times that we do not have a food vendor, feel free to bring your own food in or order delivery from one of our neighboring restaurants.

FOOD TRUCK SCHEDULE

Fri, March 15 @ 5PM - 8pm: Chuck’s Wood-Fired Pizza
Sat, March 16 @ 12pm - 3pm: The Roaming Hog Food Truck

NOTE: Food vendor times and availability subject to change.

BEER-TO-GO

Crowlers (32 oz cans) of select beers will be available during the grand opening. Note that we do not sell or fill ANY glass growlers at our brewery. Why? Growlers are simply not the best vessels to transport beer in. Crowlers are airtight, keep out harmful UV rays, and are recyclable.

TAPLIST

Of course, we’ve saved the most important information for last. Here’s what will be on tap for our grand opening. We will also have a couple of guest taps from some of our brewery friends and a hard apple cider on tap.

NOTE: Some of these beers are limited in quantity, so they will be available first come, first served.

1. Yellow Kayak Pilsner - German - 5.2% ABV

Our German Style Pilsner using a distinctly American approach. Utilizing 100% German Pilsner malt as a base, generous amounts of German Saphir hops lend this Pils a beautiful blend of floral, spice, lemongrass, and citrus hop flavors. German Magnum hops provide a pleasant bitterness that leaves you craving the next sip. This beer is perfect refreshment on a hot day, a great beer to drink while watching the game or your favorite show, or just to sip while enjoying the company of friends.

2. Witty Fox Witbier - 5.2% ABV

Our Belgian style Witbier is a classic with a bit of an American twist. We build our Wit with a base of Belgian Pilsner malt, a healthy helping of flaked wheat, white wheat, and flaked oats for a creamy, soft body. We stuck to tradition in keeping the bitterness of this beer light, and we used fresh Cara Cara orange peel and crushed Coriander seed for some citrus and spice and everything nice. In true Riverlands spirit, we had to add a bit of our own flair when we added the rest of the hops to this beer. Mandarina and Amarillo hops both in the whirlpool and dry hop provide an extra depth of orange-like citrus. Don't worry though, this isn't a "white IPA," our Witty Fox is a classic wit, but with its own personality.

3. Hanra’s marionette - irish red ale - 5.0% ABV

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, we brewed up a small batch of this easy drinking Irish Red Ale to help us all celebrate. Smooth and malty with just enough hops to balance the sweet caramels notes, this beer will surely become an annual favorite around the brewery.

4. Acid Rainbow: Buried In Berries - Fruited Kettle Sour - 5.5% ABV

Acid Rainbow is our "Sherbet Style" series of kettle soured ales, exhibiting most of the colors of the rainbow from the massive fruit additions added. The color and flavor will obviously vary depending on what fruits were used, but all beers in this series share the same base and use lactose sugar and vanilla. This version of Acid Rainbow contains two and a half pounds of fruit per gallon consisting of raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries.

5. Silt - New England-Style DOUBLE IPA - 8% ABV

Silt is a New England style Double IPA brewed with boatloads of Galaxy, Citra and Mosaic Hops. The hops blend with a smooth, silky body to create a well-rounded beer that drinks easier than it's ABV would suggest. We taste notes of peach, citrus, and tropical fruit. This is the DIPA we've dreamed about for a long time…

6. Murky Waters - New England-Style IPA - 7% ABV

A New England Style IPA using one of our favorite hop combinations, Citra and Mosaic! These two hops lend complex aromas and flavors of orange citrus, mango, pineapple, and berries mixed with a little bit of pine. The body of this beer is soft on the palate without being overly full bodied. Each sip leaves you craving another due to the smooth, silky finish. One of our favorite beers, we’re sure you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.

7. Arthur B's Pub Ale - English dark mild - 3.7% ABV

An English Dark Mild ale brewed in honor of our head brewer's great grandfather who immigrated from England. We'd like to think that Arthur would have enjoyed this easy drinking ale.

Our English Dark Mild is light on alcohol, but not flavor. Caramel and Chocolate malts give this beer toffee notes with the slightest hint of dark chocolate. The finish is slightly sweet from the Golden Promise malt that makes up the base of this beer. This is a true pub ale that can be enjoyed over and over again.

8. First Catch of the Day - Imperial STOUT - 12% ABV

Breakfast in a glass! This hearty stout is flavored with maple, a unique blend of Guatemalan and Brazilian coffee from our friends at Casas Coffee, and vanilla beans. So thick you could pour it over pancakes! It's full of chocolate and roasted flavor and a mellow sweetness that compliments the additional flavors added.

9. Kamoho - Imperial Stout - 12% ABV

Named for a Hawaiian shark god, Kamoho is a fearsome beast of a stout flavored with toasted coconut, cinnamon, cocoa nibs, and vanilla. Behind those flavors lies a stout base focused on luscious dark chocolate and roast coffee flavors. The body is silky and full. This beer can be savored alone or shared in the company of friends.

10. Secret Burrito - Imperial Stout - 12% ABV

A Mexican hot chocolate inspired stout. This beer takes a thick, sweet and chocolaty stout base and ages it on cocoa nibs, vanilla, cinnamon, and a combination of Ancho, Guajillo, and Habanero chillies. The result is a delicious blend of dessert stout with the sweet, smokey and dark fruit flavors from the Anchos and Guajillos and a light heat from the smaller amount of Habanero. A complex beer that will keep your palate guessing.

11. Campfire Tales - Imperial Stout - 12% ABV

A beer perfect for sitting around a campfire at night. What's that? You forgot your S'more ingredients to roast by the fire? Who cares, drink this instead! All the flavors of graham cracker, chocolate, and marshmallow are packed into this huge, silky smooth stout! Aged on graham crackers, vanilla, and cocoa nibs, this beer will be your perfect companion around the fire, or just sitting in your family room.
