COVID 19 Update for 11/24

Hey, folks. We were alerted this evening that one of our taproom staff members has tested positive for COVID 19. We are immediately closing our beer garden service while our exposed staff members are tested.

Those who have visited us know our staff interacts with the public while wearing face coverings and keeping as much distance as possible, as well as sanitizing surfaces and hands in between guests. That said, we want to let guests know about the timeframe this person last worked to help inform any decisions they need to make: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Nov 22-24 during our early afternoon hours.

Anyone with tent table reservations for Wednesday will have their deposit returned asap. We will reassess our Friday, Saturday, and Sunday plans as test results continue to come in, but for now all reservations are on hold. Existing reservations will be refunded when the call is made whether we will remain closed through the weekend.

Curbside pickup will continue Wednesday with two staff members who were not in contact with the employee and who have tested negative. Hours will be limited to 12-6pm for pickups.

We ask that any new orders be made online (bit.ly/riverlands) rather than walk-ups as our staff will be extremely limited tomorrow.

COVID 19 Update

In an effort to be transparent and continue to provide as safe of an experience and service as possible, we wanted to let you all know about a COVID exposure that we just learned about this morning, Monday, 11/23.

On Thursday, 11/19, a visitor doing business in the back-of-house (brewery production area) exposed several non-public-facing employees for a prolonged period of time. This visitor has since tested positive for COVID 19. Those employees who were exposed are currently getting tested and will not return to work until they are confirmed to be negative.

As far as the public is concerned, neither our taproom or beer garden were open to the public that day as we continued to work on our outdoor space improvement. Employees who were providing curbside service did NOT have prolonged exposure of any kind to the positive visitor.

Our entire front-of-house staff have nonetheless been notified and are monitoring themselves for symptoms as we await test results for those who were exposed.

Since we are closed for business on Mondays and Tuesdays, we will be cleaning and sanitizing all areas of exposure, which again were mainly in the back-of-house. As we await test results, we plan to open on Wednesday, 11/25, during our normal hours with employees who were not exposed to the visitor.

If you have any questions or concerns, we invite you to reach out to us at info@riverlandsbrewing.com.

Winter Beer Garden 2.0

As we continually adapt to overcome challenges seen and unseen, our Winter Beer Garden continues to evolve. While the Sun Bubbles are gone, at least for now, we have new options depending on your comfort level as our guest. Keep an eye out for more improvements as we navigate each new challenge.

Tent seating is available by reservation (link: bit.ly/riverlands), and includes open airflow, spacious seating, constant sanitation procedures, and shelter from the breeze. While unheated (for now), a couple of extra layers will help keep you cozy.

If you aren’t comfortable sharing socially distanced space with others, uncovered tables are available by reservation or walk-up reservation, space permitting.

For those who choose to not wear masks or aren’t comfortable coming out just yet, contactless curbside pick-up is always available through our online shop (bit.ly/riverlands) Weds-Sun 12-8pm.

Reservations for Saturday and Sunday are now online. Grab one that suits your party of six or less, mask up, and hang out.

New Restriction Updates and Outdoor Sun Bubble Reservations

Hi Friends,

Due to the recent announcement of restrictions in our region, we’re eliminating indoor seating and, instead, offering a reservation system for outdoor covered seating starting Friday, October 23rd. To keep everyone as safe and cozy as possible, we’ve installed some new groovy Sun Bubbles. Here’s a rundown of how it’ll work...

Guests can reserve a Bubble for 90 minutes at a time by using our online store. We ask that you refrain from stacking reservations or booking more than one block per day on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to allow more people the opportunity to enjoy our beer garden. We will require a $15 deposit to confirm a reservation for each block which will be applied to your bill when your reservation concludes.

Reservation time slots will be offered at Noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, and 8pm slots. Each for 90 minutes which gives us 30 minutes to clean up all the Sun Bubbles before the next time slot. Please do not arrive at the Beer Garden more than 10 minutes before your scheduled reservation and don’t linger too long after your reservation ends since our staff only has 30 minutes to clean all the Sun Bubbles before the next group arrives.

While our nifty Sun Bubbles do soak up the sun’s heat and block the wind very well, they aren’t heated or made of concrete.  We recommend dressing in layers and avoid leaning or even touching the bubbles whilst inside.

Other Q&As…

Can I bring food?  Yes!

Can I bring my kids?  Yes! Please make sure they stay inside the bubble during the reservation.

Can I go inside to use the bathrooms? Yes! Please just remember to mask up.

Can I reserve two tables? Yes but the State says if you do you can’t mix, so one group in one bubble the other group in the other bubble the whole time.  We can put you next to each other, and you can make faces at each other though.

Sincerely,

Riverlands Brew Crew

The Taproom is (Partially) RE-OPENING

Tamaki+in+glass.jpg

Hey, everyone. In case we haven’t mentioned it lately, we are extremely grateful for the support and love you’ve shown us over the past few months. We literally wouldn’t be here without all of the online orders that helped us stay afloat. Thank you.

Now for the good news: starting Friday, June 26, our taproom will be partially reopened! We will now be able to offer indoor and outdoor seating (weather pending) AND continue online sales for curbside pick-up (bit.ly/riverlands).

We’re excited to have people back inside with us, but there are some important health and safety precautions we need your help with. Check out what we’re doing to make this weekend safe and fun for as many people as safely possible.

  • We are now back to welcoming all ages in the taproom. We politely ask that if you bring children or anyone under 21 that they remain seated with your party at all times.

  • Hours for the taproom AND beer garden are 12pm to 10pm, Sunday - Thursday and 12pm to 11pm Friday and Saturday.

  • Entry may sometimes be through the beer garden only - please look for signage on the front door. When arriving to sit in the beer garden, please wait to be seated by a beertender to make sure you’re given a sanitized table. Our beer garden will be open weather pending.

  • Tables are first come, first served, no reservations. Parties are limited to eight (8) or fewer, depending on table size. Indoor seating will be limited and tables/chairs cannot be moved or combined for larger parties.

  • Masks MUST be worn any time you are not seated. That includes going to the restroom and standing in line to order. This isn’t a debate, if you forget then we will ask nicely to put it back on when walking around to order or go to the bathroom. We reserve the right refuse service if someone refuses to wear a mask and will be asked to leave.

  • Both Indoor and outdoor seating will have self-service at the left side of the bar, socially spaced appropriately. Please follow the signs and floor markings for the beer line and wear your mask.

  • If you’re seated inside the taproom, please remain at your table except to order, use the restroom, or leave. Please to not float from table to table or change tables without discussing with a server. There will be NO standing room inside or seats at the bar itself.

  • We have started accepting cash again but very much prefer you use electronic payments to keep things cleaner (credit/debit/etc.)

  • Outdoor food will be permitted at times when a food truck is not on premise. See our event page for details. Please dispose of your garbage when finished.

  • Remember: if you feel sick at all or have been exposed to COVID, please stay home.

Thank you in advance for your patience while we get used to these changes and for following these simple rules to help things go smoothly. We really only get one shot at doing this right.
